The exact houses in the small village of Warehorne in which the Wood family lived in the late 18th and early 19th centuries are not known. However, there are only three lots of old cottages in this small village on the high ground at the edge of the Romney Marsh, and the cottages shown here are both typical and fairly likely to be the ones occupied by Richard Wood and his family
