In this photograph are all the children and grandchildren of Thomas and Louisa Wood, except only for Don Bull the youngest grandchild who was born five years later in 1930, and not (of course) their baby Isabella Wood who had died at age of only three weeks in 1889. It must have been taken in 1925, presumably on the occasion of a milestone birthday or anniversary for one of them but there is no definite information. Alice did turn 40 that year in October and Flo turned 30 in August, so it might have been one of those events.
The four men standing at back are Albert Bull (Bessie’s husband); Andrew Browne (Martha’s husband); Thomas and Louisa’s only son Francis Wood (age 41); and Lance Wood (age 18) Martha’s son (before she married Andrew Browne).
Sitting: Bessie Bull (age 34) (nee Wood); Alice Barrie (age 40) nee Wood; Martha Browne (43), nee Wood; their mother Louisa Wood nee Kuehn (age 71); Flo Wood (30), who remained single; Ann Parkinson (age 38) nee Wood; and Emily Wood (nee Graham) wife of Francis Wood – she is holding baby Clem who was born 24th July 1925.
Kneeling: Daphne Wood (age 12); Marjorie Bull (age 8), Jack Barrie (age 10), father of Pat Button; Graham Thomas (Tom) Wood (age 10); Robert (13) Barrie; Jean BARRIE (age 16 -her birthday is same day as Clem’s); and on far right partly ‘washed out’ Bette Wood (age 8)
Sitting on ground: Greta Bull (age 5); Kevin Barrie (5); Valerie Wood (4); Colin Parkinson (4); Lois Bull (3); Glenda Wood (age 6)
The photograph was probably taken by Alice’s husband, Robert Barrie, as he had a camera at that period. However, Annie’s husband Tim Parkinson, also does not appear in the photograph so it is also possible that he took the photograph.

Here is another photograph taken at the same time. Shows Louisa Wood at age of 71 with all her children, plus Martha’s Lancelot Wood who was always treated as a son not grandson.
Frank, Bessie, Flo and Annie (and Lance) are at the back
Martha, Louisa and Alice are sitting down.
