Four generations of Thomas and Louisa Wood’s family, South Australia

This photograph was probably taken between March and May 1937

A small group, but from Louisa at the centre, through Alice at the right of the picture to her daughter Judith standing behind her, and her daughter’s baby held by Alice, four generations in South Australia are indeed covered by 1937.

Four generations

Back row: Florence Wood (1895-1975); Annie Parkinson nee Wood (1887-1963); Jean Lloyd nee Barrie (1909-1987) – i.e. daughter of Alice Barrie, nee Wood);

Front: Win Gum with son Lyn; Louisa Wood nee Kuehn (1854-1940), aged 83; Alice Barrie nee Wood (1885-1981) nursing her first grandchild, Judith Lloyd who was born in November 1936.

Win Gum, nee Stone, sitting on the left, is not a descendant of Lousia and Thomas Wood, but related to Alice’s mother-in-law.

The line of four generations through Wood/Barrie/Lloyd is from Louisa Wood (nee Kuhn) – Alice Barrie (nee Wood) – Jean Lloyd (nee Barrie) – baby Judith Lloyd
